Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using rating.so (“the Service”), operated by DMA Labs (“we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

rating.so monitors Domain Rating (DR) and backlink data for domains you add, sends alerts and digests, and provides public reports, comparisons, leaderboards, badges and embeddable charts. DR is shown on the industry-standard 0–100 scale and is computed from third-party SEO data providers. All metrics are estimates, provided “as is” for informational purposes: we do not guarantee accuracy, parity with any other tool's score, ranking outcomes, or uninterrupted availability. The Service measures SEO metrics — it does not promise to improve them. Data may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or differ from other data sources because it is supplied and refreshed by third-party providers.

Domain Rating by Ahrefs. Domain Rating values are provided by Ahrefs and used under the Ahrefs Domain Rating License. Ahrefs® is a trademark of Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.; rating.so is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ahrefs. Your use of DR data shown in the Service is also subject to that license.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.
• You may track domains you own or manage, and watch third-party domains (e.g. competitors) for informational purposes only.

4. Plans, billing & refunds

• The Free plan is limited (1 tracked domain, daily checks, limited history) and updates may pause after extended account inactivity, as described on the pricing page.
• Paid plans are Basic, Pro, and Agency. They are billed in advance on a recurring basis via Stripe (monthly or annual). Current prices and limits are listed on the pricing page and may change with notice.
• Basic unlocks paid features for one tracked domain. Pro expands domain and competitor-watch capacity. Agency is billed per purchased domain quota and may include white-label and team seats.
• Annual billing charges for 10 months and provides 12 months of service (“2 months free”), as shown at checkout.
• You may upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time. Downgrading to Free cancels the Stripe subscription; access to paid features ends when the subscription is canceled. Other cancellations take effect per Stripe’s billing period rules unless we state otherwise.
• All payments are final: no refunds are provided, in whole or in part, including for unused time, downgrades or cancellations, except where required by applicable law.
• Prices are in USD. We do not currently collect sales tax or VAT at checkout unless required and configured separately.
• We may change pricing with prior notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable use

• No scraping, bulk-harvesting or reselling Service data or pages without written permission.
• No attempts to disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the Service, or to bypass rate limits and plan limits.
• No use of alerts, reports or client emails to send spam or content you have no right to send.
• No unlawful use, and no tracking of domains in ways that violate third-party rights.

6. Badges, charts & embeds

You may embed DR badges and charts on websites you control, using the snippets we provide. Embeds must not be altered to misrepresent the underlying data or imply an endorsement by rating.so. We may rate-limit or revoke embeds that abuse the Service.

7. White-label reports (Agency)

• White-label reports remove rating.so branding from the client-facing view; you remain responsible for what you present to your clients.
• Monthly client report emails are sent on your instruction to the recipients you configure; you confirm you have the right to have us email them.

8. Public pages & directory

Public reports, leaderboards, movers and comparisons display estimated metrics for publicly registered domains. Directory listings are opt-in and may include do-follow links subject to ownership verification; we may remove listings that are deceptive or abusive. Domain owners may request a review of their listing at hello@rating.so.

9. Affiliate program

Affiliate participation is governed by the terms on the affiliate page. Self-referrals, cookie stuffing, paid-search bidding on our brand and misleading promotion are prohibited and forfeit commissions.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, its design and branding are owned by DMA Labs. Third-party names and trademarks (e.g. SEO suites referenced on comparison pages) belong to their owners; references are nominative and do not imply affiliation. The domain lists you add remain yours; you grant us a license to process them solely to provide the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. Sections that by their nature survive (liability, IP, payments) survive termination.

12. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DMA Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits or data, or any loss arising from reliance on the metrics provided. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
